Rosberg retires
Eh? Going out at the top or going out because he knows he wasn't really the best and it's unlikely to ever happen again???

Re: Rosberg retires
Done the right thing. He knows it'll never get as good again and it'll never fall into his lap like it did this year. We all know the. championship was decided on engine reliability or lack of.

Hasn't got the talent or the mental strength to mix it with Hamilton again, so I'm not surprised he's walking into the sunset.

Would LOVE to now see Vettel or Alonso get that seat, but I expect merc want to avoid this situation again and with the rule changes for next year they know that an unchallenged Hamilton is their best bet to win again. Red Bull will come out swinging.

They have (arguably) the best driver. They need to support him. I guess Wehrlein will get the other seat.

Re: Rosberg retires
I wasn't overly keen on him until the last few races but he come across as a decent bloke. fair play to him packing up at the top, I'd probably do the same. not sure I'll ever be a fan of Hamilton, though he's clearly a brilliant driver. he just seems a bit cunty (and before you start hairy, it has fuck all to do with him being half white)

What an absolute bellend Lewis Hamilton is

I hope Vettel or Alonso go there and thrash him like Rosberg did this year

He only won becaus Hamiltons engine blew up.

Dodgy goings on and he realises he stands no chance on a level playing field!

Re: Rosberg retires
I think he will return within 4 years but if he never does I have great respect for him, thought he was lucky to win the title as Hamilton had some problems with his broom broom this season.

Don't blame him
Being in a team with that tedious ladyboy Hamilton must have been excruciating.

Re: Rosberg retires
Would of respected/rated him more if he went to try and win it again

wouldnt even say he won this one....more Lewis lost it

won't miss him, but fair play not a bad way to go

'That's got to occasionally impact your judgement coming into a high-speed corner or overtake situation, hasn't it? '

I doubt it...with the adrenaline pumping and the desire to win I doubt they think of little else. Maybe before and after but during...

The guy is class.

Becomes World Champion the retires at the top, a few boxers wish they had done that.

Re: Rosberg retires
Would he have retired had Hamilton pipped him to the title?

Re: Rosberg retires
Classiest thing the guy has ever done. Must take a lot to risk your life every week if you already have tens of millions in the bank and a beautiful wife and baby at home. That's got to occasionally impact your judgement coming into a high-speed corner or overtake situation, hasn't it?

Re: Rosberg retires
Just can't class this boring load of shit as a sport.

Plus he probably looks at his 50 million quid bank balance and realises travelling the world shagging tarts is a better way to spend his time.
